MartinCompany originated in 1983 in New York as a consultant to global service and manufacturing corporations; property developers and managers; educational, health and cultural institutions, and governmental agencies.   It reconstituted in 2005 as MartinCompany Management Consultants, Inc.    Regional offices are located in Detroit, Chicago, Tampa and Los Angeles.

Martin McElroy specializes in facility management strategies, organization and work processes, and is the chief architect of the “Blueprint for Facilities Excellence”.   Martin is educated in architecture (University of Michigan), learning theory (Wayne State University) and the management of professional service firms (Harvard University) and is accredited in communications consulting (Public Relations Society of America) and corporate real estate (CoreNet – ACR).    His interest in how clients use and operate their buildings evolved from his early career in project development, design and construction and the formation of clients’ expectations about the performance of real property assets.

Projects teams are organized to the precise requirements of the scope of work, deliverables and schedule.  Our staff includes specialists in operations consulting, process design, document management and engineering support.  We sustain collaborative relationships with strategic partners in key specialties, including information technologies (see “Systems”), Lean Energy & Environmental Design, building condition assessment, occupational health & safety and performance analytics.
